Transfer Call gives you the ability to transfer a caller to another extension. An Unattended Transfer is a transfer that sends the caller to the destination without announcing the caller to the receiving destination. An Attended Transfer (also known as a Warm Transfer) puts the caller on hold while you announce the caller to the receiving destination. Calls forwarded to your mobile phone using Follow Me can also be transferred to internal extensions.

How It Works – Desktop and Softphones

Most desk phones and softphones will have a dedicated button to transfer calls to other extensions or even outside telephone numbers. Generally, you can just press the transfer button and hang up or press transfer again once the destination number answers.

How It Works – Mobile Phones

Calls forwarded to your mobile phone from Follow Me can also be transferred to another destination using the feature code *1 for an Unattended Transfer or feature code *2 for an attended transfer. Simply dial the feature code you want to use during the call and dial the destination number after hearing the dial tone prompt.
