Shared Line Appearance (SLA)

Shared Line Appearance (SLA) is also known as Bridged Line Appearance (BLA) or Shared Line Control (SLC). This feature is the ability to share an extension number between multiple telephones and join the conversation on established calls.

How It Works

Once Shared Line Appearance is configured for your phones, the operation is transparent. Just pick up the designated line configured with SLA as you need.

Practical Uses

  • For smaller offices, Shared Line Appearance can be used to emulate key telephone systems where someone would say "Call on line 1" and you could just pick up line 1 and start speaking to the caller.
