Enhanced 911 (E-911) is the Voice over IP version of the traditional 9-1-1 emergency dispatch service.

How It Works

E-911 relies on three important details. First, a telephone number must be associated with a location. Second, all of the extensions must be associated with a specific location. Finally, the telephone number and the location must be registered with Amp Telecom so that when an emergency 9-1-1 call is dialed from an extension, the correct local emergency dispatcher is contacted and your location is available to the dispatcher to provide emergency services.
